Arado Ar-68 E (Nightfighter) - Classic Airframe 1/48.
Hi all.
In the same time mounting my PV1 Ventura, I have started an Arado Ar-68 E from Classic Airframe 1/48.
This will of course be a night fighter versions.
This is an aircraft from 10 (N) jg53 in 1939-1940.
Painting: all black.
This is short run model, but still of good quality.

I started by assembling the wings. I redraw the structure ailerons as in reality, because it was not a continuation of the wing as on the kit. There is a small shift that I did by filling off in the beginning of the fin rounded. I also taken up all the engraving kit, adding some lines of forgotten structures, and basing myself on a plane and original photographs. I also cut control surfaces of the fin and rudder depth.

I then cleaned the resin and painted interior RLM02 (we are in 1939-1940).
I also cut the the door on left side of the fuselage that I’ve arranged and I added the opening handle.

I assembled, painted and weathered inside and the seat (where we must pierce a small hole in the upper part of the backrest for passing harness), I added and painted harness.

Regarding the dashboard, it was also painted RLM02 (from photo) instruments decals are cut with a punch & die and glued in each location.
To position everything in the fuselage, many white assembly are necessary to properly adjust everything.

The interior after many tests was glued to the cyano.

To properly install the exhaust, remove of matter from the inside. After several tests we found the right positioning. They are then painted and positioning. As painting, I used Gunze burnt iron and then I pass a wash of Vallejo dark rust.

The fuselage was assembled (you have noticed that I glued small pieces of plasticard order to ensure a good positioning of the 2 half fuselage, because there is no positioning pins at the origin). I then spent a small fillet of Surfacer 1000 from Gunze over entire joint.

Well, tomorrow sanding joints.
New phots soon.
