Academy

When I have seen new kit of Typhoon by Brengun revued, I decided to give try to old Academy. After all looks like corrections are not that big at all.
I decided to make one of the first of Typhoons with the Tempest tail.
The Academy decals are useless (bad color and quality) so I used Decal Carpena. Horizontal stabilizers come from old Matchbox's Tempest kit, canopy from Falcon, exhausts stacks from Airfix Spitfire and rocket rails from Airfix new Typhoon kit. Prop had to be reshaped and plenty of risen detail flatten. Engine had to be build up and nose risen.

Model is almost finished, just waiting for it's Airfix brother to catch up

Airfix

Next in line is new Airfix kit. It looked like simply replacing tail may do the trick, but the fat and swollen engine section was bothering me to the point of reshaping it. Canopy again from Falcon, tail section from Brengun kit. Tail wheel from Pavla (!). I'm going to use Brengun decals on this one.

Next to build will be Brengun's car-door Tiffy, but I will need a break before starting it.
