Hello! / Witajcie ! :)

Thanks for kind and nice replies. Well, it may sound funny but for 19 years I was living very close to Czech Republic, in Wodzis³aw Œl¹ski. It's about 15 km from Cha³upki and Bohumin and Ostrava.
To understand czech language..well it's not so easy :?
I know some very useful words - potraviny, radegast, ostravar :D :-D
I'll try to understand as much I can in here :)

Kubrt (we have the same name!) great Junkers, I hope one day I'll try myself with my small AMT Ju 88 G.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, the Spitfire is on the way (I call her Schpitfeuer, that's because of all those kreuze around   )

Thanks!

Pavel, I do not know exactly the camo now, but I now the way I'll go - it will be Spitfire from one of polish squadrons. I'd like to build a normal, non-clipped spitfire, with older fin and rudder. The best would be invasion stripes on it.
I'm looking for a photos and decals and in the meantime entire fuselage interior and cockpit was airbrushed with aeromaster's RAF Interior Green. I't time to paint all those details inside. I have an occasion to sit again in one of those birds this summer...

Jan, unfortunately I do not have a camera now, my old one was stolen  and I have to ask my friend for help with photos.
As soon as I get a new one, the in-progress photos will follow much more often!

Thanks!

Kuba

Hi

Thanks!
What I like most in this kit at this stage of construction is the plastic. White, soft, easy to work with. Really nice! It finely melts with white plastic sheet I use for construction, beutifuly works with Tamyia extra thin cement (my lovely one!)
Much better for me than hard Hasegawa or even harder Fujimi plastic!
So far so good.
She's nice, good looking...i bet I'll try XVI too...

cheers
Kuba

why the hell so strange red brown pilot seat? What for? Why not made of alloy?
I do not understand englishmen...

Very good work.
I have one question. Are all ribs on the fuselage from etached parts or are hand made? :?

I hope that you will have news asap.

Clive, thos ribbs in fuselage I made myself. The are made of thin plastic sheet.
I cut the shape which fits the fuselage, then with my proxxon tool I made the ring of it, then made all those wholes.
I glued all into one fuselage half, then cut, glued to the other half. Everything fits well which amazed me, to be honest

Pavel - it's bakelit, exactly. I wonder why did they choose bakelit, what are the reasons for that?

Now I'm working on the cockpit and main instrument panel. I'll try to make some photos soon :)

I think they made it so because they wanted spare some AL material for the wings etc. It was a strategic decision, something the Germans called "einheitz" and nowdays we call it in Czech "náhražka". That is my point of view.

Just like Pavel Š wrote, except the German word for a "replacement" should be "Ersatz" afik.

Looking forward for another pics.

and I'll call it "ersatz" in German :)

Well, I'm used to make a o'nine or Fw 190 cockpits, this in Spitfire is interesting because it's green colour, black instrument panel (excellent photoetch from aires set, more precise than part's one that I also have. I compared both - aires one is better) and this brown pilot seat. The seatbelt system is fine too - strange and fine!

thanks, I go back to my workbench :)

soon the fuselage will be closed and the merlin mount...yeah it looks like a beauty and the beast. Why did I leave my beloved Daimlers with their excelent purity, simplicity and order for that messy monster? :? :?

regards!
