I have a few qustions about Spitfire Mk.I models.
The clear sprue has five types of canopies. I have alway thought that there were three for fighters - the earliest with flat sides and top, the middle with flat sides and risen top for taller pilots

and the last one, so called "Malcolm hood". I can't find any information about other two. I will be very grateful for information about them.
Another question is about glycol cooler. There are two. Is the one bigger size sometimes found on tropical Spitfires Mk.V?
And the last one (maybe already asked here, but I haven't noticed it - if so please give me a page or date). There is a very interesting thread here on this forum showing building of Eduard's Spitfire Mk.I. One thing I can't see is the hydraulic undercarriage selector which was used on Spitfire Mk.I. I know that some had hand pump (a these were probably used during the Battle of Britain too) but I think there should also be the hydraulic one for modellers' choice. If any doubts about this I can only recomend watching No 609 AuxAF Spitfire Mk.I daily check on youtube. It has black/white/aluminium undersides (so definitely before June the 6th) and it has engine driven slector. I'd really love to see this part in the box.
Have a nice day.

1.Canopies: these two other canopies are for late Mk.VB and VC with new streamlined windshield with integral (inner) armored glass, That windshield was little bit higher, ours is of course also higherm, and the canopies must be also higher
2. The other cooler: it is determined for Mk.Ib and Mk.IIb, it is actualy the same like the cooler for Mk.Ia and Mk.IIa, just the base is different, allowing the adjustment to the Mk.Vb early type wing (which makes this wing correct Mk.Ib/Mk.IIb wing)
3. Engine-powerered hydraulic oil pump: it is not standard for Mk.I. It is not know when was the manual pump replaced by engine-powered pump, if it really was replaced, maybe it never happen. If some Mk.I were really equipped by the engine-powered pump, there is no identification which aircraft they were. So we didn´t apply the option for this part, because the option here is more complicated than you expect, we do have different whole starboard side wall for Mk.II and Mk.Vs, equipped with the engine-powered oil pump. The same situation is with metal ailerons. Some sources mention the modification of the ailerons for Mk.I, but there is no identification which aircraft were equipped with them. My mind is, that both modification (oil pump & metal ailerons) became standard for Mk.II, but never for Mk.I. So, you will see the engine-powered pump in our Mk.II boxes, but not in Mk.I boxes
