The inboard pylon does not have the capability to carry a single MK-82.It has to go on a ter. The adapter is bolted to the pylon and the ter is locked on to the adapter. The adapter has 4 sway braces to keep the ter straight. The electrical cable to the ter comes out an opening on the bottom of the pylon behind the adapter. The Lau-7 launchers also bolt to the side of the pylon using an adapter. That is why the navy could always carry Aim-9's and bombs at the same time.
