What is shown on the Zvezda CAD images is only a general layout of the helicopter. There are no panel lines, rivets, surface details on them. This is only a general look at the helicopter to show what the first released kit will look like. It has details for early Mi-17 with small fuel tanks (with 3 straps) but includes most of the Afganistan conversions like the Lipa, the EVU, the ASO-2V blocks.
The developer of the decals (Begemote) commented that the kit will have a fully riveted surface, the way it should be!!! All the small details will be included but not only for the fuselage but of course for the rotor blades too. I think some modellers will be surprised by the level of details.
I am happy to see this kits release, but at the same time I am very sad that the first Mi-17 kit should have been the Czech Annetra release with all the research, enormous amount of work put into it, and lot of expectation from the maker! It was very promising!
Best regards
